'Indian Warrior' forms a very upright vase of green foliage that takes on first purples then bronzes as summer turns to autumn. It makes a terrific and colorful alternative to the larger Miscanthus. Big bluestem is a tall, native grass that used to be the dominant grass of the tall grass prairies of North America. It's also called turkey foot because the flowers resemble...well...a turkey's foot.
