Also called Japanese shield fern or autumn fern, this one grows in an arched fashion and provides young orange-red to cinnamon-pink fronds light up against the glossy, deeper green coloring of mature fronds. Does well in woodland or shade areas. Plant massively to provide a noteworthy ground cover. Bonus: no serious insect or disease problems!
