This perennial blooms red, pink, or purple beginning in September and lasting through October. It grows 3-4' tall and is considered very hardy. You will find it attracts butterflies and like other asters, may be used as a cut flower. Place it in your cottage or butterfly garden. Try it in containers or use it as part of your border planting.
